SSC CGL 2024 Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for SSC CGL 2024 in terms of educational qualifications and age limits are as follows:

  • Auditor, Accountant, Junior Accountant, Senior Secretariat, Upper Division Clerks, Tax Assistant & Sub-Inspector:

    • Education Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree.
    • Age Limit: 18 to 27 years
  • Inspector & Assistant:

    • Education Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree.
    • Age Limit: 18 to 30 years
  • Assistant Section Officer:

    • Education Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree.
    • Age Limit: 20 to 30 years
  • Assistant Audit Officer, Inspector of Income Tax & Division Accountant:

    • Education Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree.
    • Age Limit: 18 to 30 years
  • Junior Statistical Officer:

    • Education Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree with Statistics as one of the subjects or Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 60% in Maths in Class 12.
    • Age Limit: 18 to 32 years

SSC CGL 2024 Application Fee

The application fee for the SSC CGL 2024 is 100 rupees for General category candidates. Female, SC, ST, Physically Handicapped, and Ex-Servicemen candidates are exempted from paying the fee.

SSC CGL 2024 Selection Process

The selection process for SSC CGL 2024 consists of four stages:

  • Tier 1:

    • Mode: Computer-Based Test (CBT)
    • Duration: 60 minutes
    • Sections: 4 (General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, English Comprehension)
    • Questions: 100 (25 questions in each section)
    • Marks: 200 (2 marks for each correct answer)
    • Negative Marking: 0.50 marks deducted for each incorrect answer
  • Tier 2:

    • Mode: Computer-Based Test (CBT)
    • Duration: 2 hours for each paper
    • Sections: Paper I (Quantitative Abilities), Paper II (English Language and Comprehension), Paper III (Statistics) – applicable for certain posts
    • Questions and Marks: Varies based on the paper
    • Negative Marking: 0.25 marks deducted for each incorrect answer in Paper II (English Language and Comprehension), 0.50 marks for Paper I and Paper III
