The WBJEE-2024 exam was held on April 28 this year. All candidates who have qualified in this exam are eligible to participate in the counselling round. This round is for admission into undergraduate courses in Engineering, Technology, and Architecture in various colleges, institutions, and universities across West Bengal.
According to the board’s guidelines, there will be a combined counselling session for both WBJEE 2024 and JEE Main 2024 rank holders. The counselling process includes several steps: registration, choice filling, seat allotment, and payment of the seat acceptance fee. All these steps will be managed through a centralized system.
During the allotment round, seats will be assigned to candidates based on their ranks and preferences. In the upgradation round, candidates who have already been allotted seats can opt for a higher preference if available. The mop-up round is conducted to fill any remaining vacant seats after the previous rounds are completed.
