Australian Man Develops Hair Growth in Throat, Linked to Heavy Smoking
A 52-year-old man from Australia has been diagnosed with a rare condition where hair started growing inside his throat. This unusual case was reported in the American Journal of Case Reports, and doctors believe it might be due to his long-term smoking habit.
The man had been a heavy smoker for nearly 30 years, which doctors think could be the reason for this strange condition. He first went to the doctor when he was 35 years old because he was having trouble breathing at night, snoring, a hoarse voice, and a persistent cough. During one of his coughing fits, he even coughed up a 5 cm long hair.
The doctors suspect that his extensive use of tobacco over the years led to this rare and unusual medical issue.
