Oppo Reno 12 5G Series Set to Launch in India Soon: What We Know So Far

The much-awaited Oppo Reno 12 5G series is preparing for its launch in India, which could happen as early as next week. Although Oppo has not officially announced the exact date, reports indicate that July 12 might be the day these new smartphones are unveiled. The series, which has already been introduced globally, will include the Oppo Reno 12 5G and the Oppo Reno 12 Pro 5G, both powered by MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Energy chipsets.

Launch Details and Variants

According to Techoutlook, the Oppo Reno 12 5G will be available in India with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. On the other hand, the Oppo Reno 12 Pro 5G is expected to come in two versions: one with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, and another with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.

Globally, the base model is sold with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, priced at EUR 499.99 (around Rs. 44,700). The Pro model is available with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage for EUR 599.99 (approximately Rs. 53,700).

India Launch and Features

While the exact launch date in India remains a mystery, teasers from Flipkart and Oppo India hint that the new series will be available soon. The Indian versions are expected to come with several AI-powered features like AI Record Summary, AI Clear Voice, and AI Writer.

Specifications Overview

In China, the Oppo Reno 12 and Reno 12 Pro are equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 8250 Star Speed Edition and Dimensity 9200+ Star Speed Edition chipsets, respectively. However, the global models, including those coming to India, will feature the MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Energy SoCs.

Both phones will have triple rear cameras, including two 50MP cameras and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, along with a 50MP front camera. They will also come with 5,000mAh batteries that support 80W SuperVOOC fast charging.

The Oppo Reno 12 5G series aims to bring advanced features and strong performance to the Indian market, continuing Oppo’s tradition of innovative smartphone technology.
