The Lanka Premier League (LPL) is gearing up for its fifth season, starting on July 1. Organized by the Sri Lanka Cricket Association, this year’s tournament will be held across three different venues. The 2024 edition of the LPL will feature 24 matches and five teams: B-Love Kandy, Dambulla Sixers, Jaffna Kings, Galle Marvels, and Colombo Strikers. The competition will follow a double round-robin format from July 1 to July 21.
Last year’s champions, B-Love Kandy, clinched the title after a thrilling match against Dambulla Aura. They will begin their title defense by facing the Dambulla Sixers. This exciting opening match is scheduled for Monday at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium.
