Exciting New Generation Cars Set to Launch in India This Year

This year, car enthusiasts in India can look forward to the launch of new-generation models of the Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Honda Amaze, and Kia Carnival. These cars promise significant upgrades in both design and features.

Car manufacturers often release new-generation models to keep their lineups fresh and competitive. While facelifts usually involve minor tweaks to the design, interiors, and features, new-generation models are often completely revamped. Let’s take a closer look at the new-generation cars set to hit the Indian market this year.

  1. New-Gen Kia Carnival (KA4)

The new-generation Kia Carnival is expected to launch in India around the festive season. This will be the facelifted version of the fourth-generation Carnival, which was introduced globally last October. The test version of this premium MPV has already been seen in India without any camouflage.

The new Carnival will be built on an all-new N3 platform and will be powered by a 2.2-litre turbo diesel engine, delivering 200 bhp and 440 Nm of peak torque. The car will feature larger dimensions and an SUV-like front design, following Kia’s latest design language. The new-generation Carnival is likely to be sold in India as a Completely Knocked Down (CKD) unit and will compete with the Toyota Innova Hycross.

  1. New-Gen Maruti Suzuki Dzire

Following the launch of the new-generation Swift, Maruti Suzuki is set to introduce the next-generation Dzire around the festive season. This compact sedan will share its platform, engine, and features with the new Swift but will offer more length and boot space. Spy shots have shown that the Dzire will have a different front design compared to the Swift, and the rear design is also expected to be new.

The new Dzire will be powered by a Z12E 1.2-litre 3-cylinder petrol engine, producing 80.46 bhp and 111.7 Nm of peak torque. The latest test version also revealed that the new Dzire will feature a sunroof, making it the first car in its segment to offer this feature. Other new features will include automatic climate control, keyless entry, cruise control, and a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The interior will have a new lighter color theme for the cabin and upholstery, similar to the new Swift.

  1. New-Gen Honda Amaze

Honda is also expected to launch the all-new Amaze in India during the festive season. The new Amaze will come with several updates both inside and out, making the features list more premium. However, the powertrain and gearbox combinations will remain the same.

These new-generation cars are set to bring exciting changes to the Indian automotive market, offering consumers more choices with advanced features and updated designs.
