GATE 2024 Result - How Marks Will Be Calculated?
The GATE 2024 score will be calculated based on the actual (raw) marks obtained by the candidates after the evaluation of their answers. For multi-session papers, the raw marks obtained in different sessions will be converted to normalized marks for that specific subject. The GATE score 2024 will be computed using either the raw marks (for single-session papers) or the normalized marks (for multi-session papers), considering the qualifying marks.
GATE Exam Result 2024 - Normalized Process
To account for any variation in the difficulty levels of the question papers across different sessions, the GATE exam will be conducted in multi-sessions. The normalization process will be applied based on the assumption that the distribution of abilities of candidates is the same across all sessions of the GATE 2024 papers. This assumption is justified due to the large number of candidates appearing in multi-session papers and the random allocation of sessions to candidates. The authorities will use the given formula to calculate the normalized marks for the multi-session GATE papers 2024.
How to Calculate GATE 2024 Scores for Other Papers
For papers other than CS, CE, EC, ME, and EE, the calculation of GATE 2024 scores follows a different method. The provided image illustrates the calculation process for these papers.
