Detailed Eligibility Criteria Application Process And Application Fees For JEE Advanced 2016

The JEE Advanced 2016 eligibility criteria are as follows: Only the top 200,000 candidates from the JEE Main are eligible to take the JEE Advanced 2016 exam. The candidates must have been born on or after October 1, 1991, for General and OBC – Non-Creamy layer. For SC, ST, and handicapped categories, the candidates must have been born on or before October 1, 1996.

Candidates can take the JEE Advanced twice consecutively after passing the JEE Main. They must have passed the 12th or equivalent exam in 2015 or 2016 in one attempt. Those who passed the 12th or equivalent exam for the first time in 2014 or earlier are not eligible.

Students whose class 12th or equivalent results for the academic year 2013-14 were declared after June 2014 can apply. Candidates whose admission in IITs or ISM was cancelled are not eligible. Candidates must have secured 75% aggregate marks (for general candidate) and 75% aggregate marks (for reserved category).

Candidates should be within the category-wise top 20 percentile of successful candidates in the 12th or equivalent exam. If candidates have appeared in the 12th or equivalent examination for the first time in 2015 and wish to (or has to) reappear in 2016, they should reappear in all the subjects.

The JEE Advanced 2016 application form can be filled out starting April 29, 2016. Candidates need to register online to take the exam. Only those candidates whose scores are equal to or above the JEE Main Cutoff marks specified for JEE Advanced can fill out the application form. They also need to meet the specified eligibility criteria before registering online.

The online registration procedure for JEE Advanced includes filling out the registration form, uploading scanned certificates, and paying the registration fee.
